Tour Leaders: Joanne Henig and Jessica Lempin

There is so much to explore in Rockport and Gloucester that we could spend the whole spring here and not even scratch the surface!

Only 45 minutes north of Boston, Rockport & Gloucester are the perfect destinations for relaxation and photographic opportunity.  Full of intriguing history, unmatched beauty and serenity, the region invites you to slow down and renew.

Gloucester is home to America’s oldest seaport, rich maritime history, an active working waterfront, and several of the world’s most beautiful beaches and lighthouses.

Rockport Gloucester Photography Workshop

The New England towns of Rockport and Gloucester, Massachusetts in Cape Ann Boast Historic Sites, Gorgeous Beaches, and Classic Lighthouses.

There’s a reason photographers absolutely love shooting in Rockport and across Cape Ann.  There are breathtaking views around almost every bend.

Rockport is located approximately 40 miles northeast of Boston at the tip of the Cape Ann peninsula. Rockport borders Gloucester to its west, and is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean in all other directions. Look no further for the coastal Massachusetts experience you’ve been waiting for.

Gloucester is a real working big town/small city while Rockport looks and feels like it could be a movie set, an exaggeration of a stereotypical pretty sea side small town.

Bearskin Neck in Rockport is a waterfront area off of Main Street that is filled with a maze of weathered New England buildings lining narrow lanes.

Iconic Motif No. 1 draws artists and art lovers to Rockport’s picturesque harbor.

In Rockport and Gloucester you will find 5 beautiful lighthouses that each have a unique and interesting history. Some lighthouses, like Annisquam lighthouse and Eastern Point lighthouse are accessible by shore. While the lighthouses at Thacher Island, Straitsmouth Island, and Ten Pound Island require a boat to get a closer look.

If you are a lighthouse lover, maritime photographer, or just looking for a fun way to spend a day by the water, Cape Ann, Massachusetts is the perfect place for a visit.

This workshop will be led by Joanne Henig and Jessica Lempin, nature photographers and educators. Joanne and Jessica look forward to exploring this exciting adventure with you.
