As a wildlife photographer, I began as an underwater photographer and I have spent years honing my skills to capture the incredible world beneath the ocean's surface. From the smallest mollusk to majestic humpback whales, I am continually inspired by the intelligence and design of the wildlife I encounter. Inasmuch as my days as an underwater photographer will eventually come to an end, I have branched out to creating images of animals and landscapes on dry land. My work is a reflection of the beauty and complexity of what my travels have yielded. I strive to tell these stories in hopes of fostering appreciation and conservation. Through my unique techniques and dedication to capturing the most interesting behavior, I aim to showcase the inherent creativity of the animal world. Each image is a testament to the fascinating creatures that inhabit our world, and I am committed to sharing their remarkable stories through my art. In my daily life for most of the last forty years, I have told the stories of others by words, documents and exhibits. Here through my art work, I endeavor to tell the stories of those who cannot tell their stories on their own through light, pixels and images.
