Passion and spirit for photography began at a young age; playing around with her mom’s 110 camera and using her family as her first subject. Born and raised in NY, Maria credits her family for exposing her to diverse cultures and teaching her other languages. Her mother is Peruvian and her father from Italy.
Always fascinated by new faces and places, she chose to study International Business at Hofstra University in NY. After college she decided there wasn’t any other place to live and work but the “Big Apple”. Living and working in NYC gave Maria her first professional canvas and further access to international travel. Through her globetrotting, she was inspired to capture the beauty of photographing people and landscapes of all types. Her work stems from the North Fork of Long Island to magical cities all of over Latin America and Europe, from photographing indigenous communities to modern day society.
Her dream is to share with the world her experiences, memories, history and vision through her documented photographic journeys.
