Passion and spirit for photography began at a young age; playing around with her mother’s camera and using her family as her first subject. Born and raised in NY, by her Peruvian mother and Italian father, Maria credits her family for exposing her to diverse cultures and travel.
Always fascinated by new faces and places, she chose to study International Business at Hofstra University in NY. After college she decided there wasn’t any other place to live and work but the “Big Apple”. Living and working in NYC gave Maria her first professional canvas and further access to international travel. Through her globetrotting, she was inspired to capture the beauty of photographing people and landscapes of all types. Her work stems from the vineyards of North Fork, Long Island to street photography of magical cities all of over Latin America and Europe, and from photographing indigenous communities to modern day living and architecture.
Her dream is to share with the world her experiences, memories, history and vision through her documented photographic journeys.
