Passion and spirit for photography began at a young age; playing around with her mother’s camera and using her family as her first subject. Born and raised in NY, by her Peruvian mother and Italian father, Maria credits her family for exposing her to diverse cultures, languages and travel.
Always fascinated by new faces and places, she chose to study International Business at Hofstra University in NY. After college she decided there wasn’t any other place to live and work but the “Big Apple”. Living and working in NYC gave Maria her first professional canvas and further access to international travel. Through her globetrotting, she was inspired to capture the beauty of photographing people and architecture of all types. Her work stems from the vineyards and sunsets of Long Island, cityscapes, waterscapes and landscapes of magical cities throughout Latin America and Europe, to photographing indigenous communities and modern day street photography.
Her dream is to share with the world her experiences, memories, history and vision through her documented photographic journeys.
