Michael Warner was born in Detroit, but at the age 10 moved to Saranac Lake, a small town in the upper Adirondacks, where he grew up and fell in love with the natural beauty of woods and water, mountains and sky. Ever a Romantic at heart, these continue to be his first choice of subjects, as can be seen by the collection below.
Though he has moved on to digital, his first and best love was 35mm, with which he began his foray into the world of photography in the 70’s with an Argus C3 that somehow came into his possession — a mysterious event for which he will be ever grateful — but is now long gone.
Through his photography, Michael seeks to exercise share his creative nature by exploring the joy and beauty that surrounds us, if we but take the time to stop, look, and see.
“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” — Thoreau
