Photography has been a hobby for most of my adult life, but never more than a hobby. Providing for my family took precedence over all other interests.
After the family had grown, and out on their own, Barbara and I now had time for ourselves, and we had the opportunity to travel. Most of our travel was to Western Europe.
These trips provided many great photo opportunities, and allowed me to reignite my love of photography.
Now I find myself relying on photography for an entirely different reason. Unfortunately, Barbara passed away recently, leaving a massive void In my life. Photography can’t begin to fill that void, but it provides me with a constructive distraction, and helps to keep me occupied.
Now residing in Charleston, SC, there is no shortage of incredible material. Beaches, sunrises, sunsets, the historic downtown, and gardens.
Recently I was introduced to ICM. This genre provides a totally new perspective to one’s photography. Looking forward to devoting considerable effort to learning this approach.
