Assateague Island + Ocean City, MD Photography Workshop
May 17th – May 20th, 2023
$1,350.00
Instructors: Jessica Lempin and Joanne Henig
Welcome to the Delmar peninsular in Maryland! This photography workshop will bring you to a beautiful area where we’ll explore two different barrier islands. These areas are just minutes apart, yet they offer two different worlds of interest. We’ll mix things up by investigating Assateague Island National Seashore‘s sandy shoreline in search of wild horses, birds, and other wildlife in their pristine natural habitats. Likewise, we’ll explore the vibrant Ocean City, Maryland boardwalk and pier, and an iconic East Coast landmark, photographing vibrant street and architectural details.
May is an excellent time of year to visit both locations. The temperature is warming up, the wildlife is more active, and the tourism season has not yet begun. These conditions will give us excellent opportunities to come away with a great photography experience.
Assateague Island is a barrier island with undeveloped beaches & salt marshes that is known for wild horses and waterfowl populations. The Assateague Island National Seashore offers various nature trails that wind through the island’s marshland, dunes, boardwalk, and pine forest. We’ll be able to see many different types of water birds, horses, and other shoreline creatures in the area.
This workshop will be led by JESSICA LEMPIN and JOANNE HENIG, nature photographers and educators. Jessica and Joanne look forward to exploring this exciting adventure with you.
