Description: After a late dinner with family, I went wandering the streets of “Old Town” Rovinj and spent several hours engaged in night street photography. The two images presented here were taken at 2am and were two of the final images I shot before heading back to our villa. This was a particularly photogenic street and these images are shot from basically the same spot having just turned the camera on the tripod 180˚. The stone streets have a high polish from decades of traffic and using a low camera angle, they provide great leading lines into the image. Notice as well, that my verticals are”vertical”. As an architectural photographer converging verticals are one of my pet peeves and a sign of a poorly executed photograph!
