Description: This image is was taken in "The Best Little City by a Dam Site." Federal Dam, Minnesota is the home of the Leech Lake dam. This dam is one of six Mississippi headwater dam sites that had historical significance in the U.S. Indian Policy in Minnesota with the Ojibway Indians. As the water rushed through the locks, it appeared as ruffles on the surface of the water. The sunlight was refracted into glorious hues as it struck the raging water.
