Description: I have been photographing Black Skimmers in their aerial ballets for about fifteen years & I have yet to see actual contact between the adversaries. Mostly they fly up in an ascending/spiral ballet screaming at each other until they break it off & return to the rookery. This time was different - one pegged the other square in the chest with it's pointed beak, but that didn't end the altercation, they kept at it.
