Description: Part of being a Nature and Wildlife photographer is the possibility of getting an image that is unexpected, this is one of those images. This past summer I had the opportunity to photograph this Great Blue Heron many times. During that time it allowed me to take hundreds of images, but it also had it own rules!! When I took this image I was looking through the viewfinder and the moment I saw movement I pressed the shutter button. I looked at my live view screen and thougt I had a pretty good image, but it wasn't until I uploaded the images for the day on my computer did I realize it was more than good. With the stick in its beak, the wing spread, the legs crossed, and even the water drops coming off the wings, it has it all. It is safe to say that I will never see that again, enjoy!!!!!
