Description: The stilt-pole village of Kampong Phluk looks at first glance like it was thrown together haphazardly with whatever materials people could scrounge up from the landfill. But upon closer inspection, the home built on poles or floating pontoons makes perfect sense as the river rises dramatically in monsoon season. Still. it's a marvel to behold and a testament to human ingenuity.
