Description: I was so taken by the obvious age of the wooden door on the right side of the frame . . . like something right out of the middle ages. In this shot the eye moves down the right wall, first to the door and then to the window at the back of the frame which provides that distant, visual anchor. Shooting with a tripod allows my to stop down my lens (f16 which is the sweet spot with this particular lens) to get maximum depth of field which I feel is critical with black and white photography. There is nothing out of focus in this image. It is sharp from the immediate foreground on the right side right through to the wall at the back of the frame which I strive for in pretty much all of my images.
