Description: Chillon is a medical lakeside castle located on the northeast end of Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) in Switzerland. With excavations carried out from the end of the 19th century, they indicate that the site has been occupied since the Bronze Age.
The history of the castle is marked by three great periods: those of the Savoy family (12-16 centuries), the Bernese bailiffs (16-18 centuries), and the Canton of Vaud (18-21 centuries).
