Description: This is one of the first photographs of the Trumpeter Swans that was taken this spring. Not knowing just how close I could approach the swans I played it safe and used a mid range zoom. This adult swan always kept a close eye on me until they decided their time of rest was over. Over the course of the summer and the many hours that I spent with them, they would allow me to get much closer. With the pruchase of a new zoom lens and a new camera it appears that I was much closer then I really was.
