Description: The bald cypress trees grow in lakes and are common along the borders of streams and swamps of Arkansas. Since the trees have adapted to wet areas, they also grow in river bottoms and backcountry bayous. Their fall colors are tan, cinnamon, and fiery orange. The bald cypress is a native tree to the southeastern United States that grows in the Mississippi Valley.
