Photo Art Pavilion’s Historical Landmarks of the World: A Juried Photography Exhibit. This is not just a call; it’s an invitation to showcase your unique perspective on the historical wonders that have shaped our world.

This virtual exhibit will be a collection of photographs from around the world that capture the visual beauty of the iconic landmarks of the world. We’re looking for images that showcase the unique qualities of historic locations, be them man-made or natural.

Enter your captivating photographs that showcase historical landmarks from any part of the world.

We are looking for high-quality photos that demonstrate creativity and skill. We’ll be looking for photos that capture the essence of of the landmark, but we’re also open to abstract and unusual shots that demonstrate artistic vision. 

The Historical Landmarks of the World Virtual Juried Exhibit is an open call for photographers of all backgrounds or anyone with a passion for photography to submit their best work.

Joanne Henig Exhibit Juror

Joanne Henig is a curator for and co-founder of  

Joanne shares her artistic vision and knowledge with other photographers while assisting them in building a salable art portfolio. Henig leads photography tours and workshops; is a curator of photography exhibitions; and teaches photography skills workshops and educational seminars for all levels of photography experience.

Based in New York, Henig is best known for her award winning landscape, waterscape, and abstract works. She has traveled the world as a professional photographer for more than 30 years. Her artistry has been recognized in numerous gallery exhibits, in print publications, and is on permanent display throughout the United States. Finished art pieces of Henig’s work can be found in both private and corporate collections.

“Being a juror for art photography exhibits is one of the most exciting things I get toe do”, says Henig. “It’s where I get to interact not only with the art, but also with the artist.”

This open call is open to anyone who has a passion for photography.

No matter if you are a professional photographer or someone who enjoys taking snapshots, we want to see your best work. Whether you prefer to capture the scene with a DSLR, a point-and-shoot, a smartphone, or anything else, we are looking for creative shots and interesting perspectives.

The Historic Landmarks of the World Virtual Juried Exhibit Reception will be held online on April 19th, 2024, at 7 PM EST via Zoom.

The virtual reception will also be recorded and posted on our Photo Art Pavilion YouTube Channel.

Artist reception & awards presentation: Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at 7:00PM EST


All artists who submit their art will be notified via email by the end of the day, April 26th, 2024.

  • Awards will be announced during the live Zoom reception
  • Social media posts will be sent out after the live Zoom reception concludes.
  • Award winners will receive an email informing them of an award in their name.
  • Checks will be mailed to the winners after the live Zoom reception date; May 8th, 2024.

Open Call for Photography Submissions

Total Entry Images: Maximum of 5 images per artist
Entry Fee: $35.00 per artist

Submission Guidelines:

  • All submitted images must be free of watermarks or branding.
  • Photos should be in digital format, preferably in JPEG format.
  • Submit up to 5 digital images with the longest edge measuring at no longer than 1200 pixels.
  • Ensure the is 5MB or less in file size.

Photographer Details:

  • Photographers may submit up to five images per $35 entry.
  • Only photographically based works depicting the specified theme will be considered.
  • The entry fee of $35 for five images is non-refundable.
  • If your image(s) are selected, Photo Art Pavilion reserves the right to display the artwork on our website and social media platforms, with each image credited with its title and the artist’s name.

Usage Rights:

  • By submitting your art, you grant Photo Art Pavilion the right to display any selected images on the website and social media accounts.
  • Open to artists aged 18 years and older.

Entry Fee Details:

  • A nonrefundable $35 entry fee is required for each artist.
  • All submitted art must be created by the submitting artist.

Juror’s Decision:

  • The decisions made by the juror are final.
